Thanks Ninjaboy311, good info.
Best of luck this winter. By the way, you are making your mark as a ZX14 rider. When I do random searches about ZX14 racing you and your bike's picture often shows up. Congrats!

Marchesini forged magnesium but for slightly more you can buy a set of BST.

You'll never buy a set of magnesium Marchesinis for $2K!
Forged aluminum is heavier and for $1,300 you can only get
Carrozzerias which are the heaviest aluminum wheels on the market.
Aluminum vs aluminum is almost 3 lbs. advantage for Marchesini (zx14 sets).
I checked into some numbers when I was shopping for wheels

Durrani magnesium is less than $2K but not sure if they make a set for the 14.
Look them up also, they make nice and light rollers
I might get a set for my gsxr750 rebuild.

I heard that company might have a spotty record.

They seem to have straighten their act a bit- their wheels
are quite popular among the squidzuki riders and I see them
on many bikes on the gixxer forums.
Not sure they have a set for the 14 though.

Get a track bike. It's been a passion of mine for a few years too and owning
a track only and inexpensive lightweight is a must.
But if you want a sharp turning zx14 you'll have to buy lightweight wheels!

Im with you 08Green, called Brock's and the guy was like 4k for BST's with Cermamic Bearings. As sweet as it would be to roll on a set of BST's thats too much $$$$. I also tried Superbike supply and theres no $1300 deal anymore on Carrozerria's. Wheelie bought those like three years ago for that price. They quoted me 1475 to my door which I'm considering. Now that winters coming it does not seem so important so I am considering removing my stock wheels and getting them powdercoated black over winter.
