Why do they think it's a tank?
Out riding today on the 14, ran into a pack of what I call wannabe riders, decked out in Icon and Joe Rocket mesh jackets. All riding 600's 750's and a 1000, stock swingarms, most had those car tip looking pipes that are popular on Ebay now on there bikes. they are LOUD. I don't see how they ride around like. They pulled in while I was sitting at the sonic drinking a milkshake. they had saw the 14 and turned around to take a look at it (I guess because of the Ext. arm). So as they were talkng about how heavy it was and how it didn't handle and that the 1000's are so much quicker I just listened. I explained that I like the look of an Extended bike and I use mine on the track and not on curves. When we left I pulled out with them and as soon as we got out on the 4 lane strait road I could tell some of them wanted to try the 14 out. We hit it at about 40 mph roll and it was all over. I was in my bikes kill zone with the arm and they were not expecting it to shoot away from them so badly. I have an 06 GSXR1000 so I know they are fast but today the 14 was king. They all caught up and gave me a thumbs up as they blasted up to the interstate. I turned off and headed to the house. Man was that fun.

yeah its like that man i have the same problem all the time! every where i go every one wants to test the 14 out lol

Well done, actions speak louder than words. Had a few roll-ons like that myself, the 14 always gets respect.

Dood has no clue and wants to race! LOL
I told him he should go shopping somehwre else he doesn't stand a chance, then his ego is tripping and demands a race, I told him to put up some green... LOL
Well I spank him so hard I damn near peeled the paint off his car! LOL
It was really bad. I slammed him like he would a pinto...LOL
His pretty girlfriend asks for a ride afterward to boot... LOL
LOOSER! LOL

................. and after all that, you're selling the 14 and keeping the GSXR???
BTW, that price (in the classifieds) should have someone drooling by now.

I got a ferrari Enzo merging onto the freeway from about 5k in 1st gear with the smeg. Talk about a sore ego. The guy didn't even have the decency to pull up next to me and give me a nod after it. I also got my buddy on his 08 busa w/ yosh R77 full exhaust and PC3 when i was running stock pipes. We went to the Pinks armdrop live race and he didn't make the field so he was pissed off and talking shit about how if it had been a full quarter instead of an eighth he would have been walking on everyone so we stretched them out to about the top of 5th gear on the way home. needless to say he was calling my bike a factory freak after that and wishing that he hadn't listened to the salesman that told him the busa would romp on everything. (BTW, He took the jump and i put about a bikelength on him every time that we shifted.)

Yea, I am selling it and the 1000, maybe even the 08 Busa but the motor is locked up and I have not had time to pull it out. I got it for $2K locked up. proably has a stacked bearing because the oil is still in the motor and not low. I think I want a cruiser and another 69 Camaro. And I may be going to China for work for 6-9 months. I could get me a souped up scooter for over there.

I get plenty of challenges, Every thursday night at T&T at the local 1/8th mile track right behind the plant where I work. You have to get in where you fit in.

I had a zo6 vette try one night on I4 here in central Florida.... He was really pissed when after 4th gear I was about 75 yards ahead... I also had the wife on the back.

A few weeks ago, a fairly new looking 911 Turbo tried out my ZX14.....you guessed it, he lost BAD....but still gave me the thumbs up when he caught up!!

The only car that I have every had give me fits on my bike is my Buddy's 94 Turbo Supra. It is upgraded to a BIG single turbo and has all kinds of motor work. He can pull me on top end because of the speed restrictor. I think he said it dynoed 743 RWHP. I had a 93 twin turbo Supra for a while. It was fun but most people would say "Man that Celica will fly" so I ended up selling it.
