I for 1 thought it was a pretty good write-up. I own an 2007 zx14 and a 2008 C14. I absolutely love the zx14. But its only got 9,900 miles on it. My Connie just turned 16,000. And the fact that im only 25 and ride a C14 amazes people
Hey lets take that Connie down to BMP and see what i can get it to run ... I really like the Connie and may get one some day ... Wouldn't it be a hoot racing it and killing some sport bikes !!!

I put the Area P Slip on it. And other than that pretty much stock. I wanna pull the flys and PC it. My father was riding it one day, Both Bikes were completely stock at the time, and at 40mph in 4th gear the connie pulled the zx 5 bike lengths. Only for a short while though, soon i (07' zx14) went from 5 bikes back to about 17 bikes ahead. pops said he had to look down and make sure the connie was still running. LOL

This is truly a revamped, re-designed Connie...........I just put on 9200kms in 22 days, and being only 5'5" i found the bike unbelievably comfortable for those long 10 hour days, even after dropping the bike 2 inches with shorter dog bones and the heli bars. This thing just handles like a sports bike (now the SuperSports Touring Bike) in the corners. Was able to scrape the pegs a few times with confidence. Gotta love the fuel distance on this new beast,,,,,for all the power , i expected alot less. I was able to get 370 kms on a tank on average. only 280 when givener shit!!!...The legs do get really hot, at times i had to stop and put ice on them as i was riding across Canada in shorts....lol. But all in all , alot of bike for the buck. Will be adding an aftermarket exhaust on er....any reconmendations ot there???????, and o yes the windscreen was a little short , experienced alot of buffering....so went with the euro sport 4in higher cee baileys, and now shes solved. I am very curious to what kawi will do to inprove this in the following years, doesnt seem like much is requiredl......One beautifull low flying missle in my books!!!

I don't see anything here about TedG's Connie having to be factory replaced and also didn't FBA have major Connie issues?

As far as I know, ted's bike was replaced due to a spun bearing at 30,000 mi, Fba beat him with an '09 and it went at about 1 mile....
As far as I can tell the '08 model held together better than the '09, I have had mine since april 2008 and never had 1 issue, including the tire pressure sensors, everything works, no weird noises at startup either.
All I did to mu bike was helibar risers, flies out 2 bros carbon slip on, pc3 mapped for this situation, I am not saying the program is flawless, but the gains where impressive. The '09 must have remapped flies, motorcyclist ran a 10.5 at 130.5 (stock) that'simpressivee!
I finally have a bike that feels comfy, has tons of torque, and handles like a sport bike, not to mention it plain ass has more power than can really be used by me. I have pushed it hard and it never lets me down, grin every time.
I will get gttp before my warranty runs out, justr for the extra 3 yrs of total covrage, as I do plan the tire pressure sensors will fail someday, and at around 200 bucks a piece, the gtp plan is cheaper than that.
reguards,
Rob
