Bad or worn chain?
I just noticed that there is a slight click or knock im feeling through my foot pegs, it matches the rolling speed of the bike. i suspect the chain. The sprockets look ok, but the chain seems to have a link that is getting stiff. I keep it well cleaned with kerosene, and use bel-ray chain lube. The factory chain and scrockets have 13000 miles on them. Should i go with oem again? Should i consider a slight gear change to get a bit more acceleration?

chain is toast most likely. Lube it with WD40, and only WD40, and see if it goes away. Also check the sprockets to make sure there is no chipped or missing teeth. If sprockets are good and the chain is still clicking, time to replace the chain. Should have used WD40 instead of chain lube.... lol

I use the EK zvx2 chain. It is an xring chain. If you are going to be putting a helluva lot of road miles on the bike go with a steel sprocket. The alum. Vortex last a long time if you keep up with chain lube maintenance and the right adjustment.

EKZZZ O ring chain new stock OEM 17 front and a steel 42 from Driven is Great
for a street ride and still have good top end. Up 1 tooth on the rear does not sound
like much but I have done 70MPH 6th gear roll on's with a friend 14 with stock gearing
and I weigh 40 pounds more than him and I walked away. And we both have the same bolt on's. After my stock chain stretched out I went to a 43 steel from Driven (black) perfect for riding in the Ozark Mountains and I still have good top end. When my stock chain is gone I will go back with EKZZZ O ring and and new 17/43 steel.
