F1 immobilizer zx14

Does any body know how to dis arm the F1 immobilizer on a zx14. I have brought a repairable write off. I only have one key. I am missing the red immobilizer key. Is there any way around this?

good question... I'd contact your dealer or look up the parts on the KMC website... you may be SOL, or you may be able to order a key from kawi... not sure... I know if it was a Ducati you'd be up shit creek and need a new ECU

Is the immobilizer a seperate unit by itself?

Does it tie into the ignition key harness?

You can remove the ignition key hardware and harness, and start your bike up, by using a resistor jumped to the main harness, as well as a few other 'standard' connections to that main harness (ignition) connector.

It's part of the ecu. Ive been told it needs the red master key to unlock it. Not sure if the ecu can be modified?

No, I wasn't going to go further.

I haven't really heard of the immobilizer gadget.

There is one JDC but these possible bike thieves dont need us teaching them how to steal them. I have done this trying to help somebody and regret it to this day.

Isn't it for non-Amwerican bikes only?

I don't think I have one.

Correct JDC,

The European models all have a seperate immobiliser.
