OOPS! Anyways i was out on my tonight and noticed it shifted very badly into lower gears,Going up was not a problem but going down it clunks quite loudly.I recently replaced the front and rear sprocket including the chain.I just checked the front sprocket bolt and it seems to be tight.I replaced the set a couple of weeks ago and it was fine until now.I am wondering could the clutch need bleeding?Everything else seems fine,no loose chain ect,Am i missing something?

It does not slip, even when under full throttle. Any ideas?

Have you changed the oil recently? Clutches with a high stack height can shift worse at oil changes, depends on the oil.

The bike has 38,000kms and i tour and sportbike ride.I was going to go dragracing this weekened.I have owned bikes for 30 plus years have never had tranny problems. The chain is not loose,I did change the oil and filter a few weeks ago but it was fine until just yesterday. The only thing that is different is that i lowered it with adjustable links but i also ajusted the chain to suit as well.

Why would new oil affect the clutch?I would think it would be the other way around,No?Should i try synthetic?

Oil gets between clutch plates and the closer they are together the more the oil that is in between them acts as a clinging/friction agent. Certain oils slip more than others. This may not be the case with yours, just trying to help you troubleshoot it. Set your clutch adjuster knob to position 5 and ride it to see if it makes any difference when you downshift. All this does is seperate the plates more when you pull in the lever.

Thanks for tips guys,I will try setting the clutch lever out,I was thinking about that last night. Also will check alignment again as well,It seems to me it was fine before i lowered it but i can't quite place why that would affect it.
