Yeah, that is 50 thou over max spec. It should be from 2.110 to 2.150 at new stack height. It would more than likely creep with the clutch pulled in.

They get all kinds of nasty when hot this tall ! I like them closer to 2.110 personally. If your using a lock up its real critical...................Bill

how do you check and change stack height? I am about to add weight to my lockup due to clutch slipage so it whould be nice to record my height. And I was going to rough my steels up on unfinished concrete for the first time. any down side to rough them up this way?

The rougher you make your steels the faster they will wear fibers. Steels only need a surface rough enough to hold oil. Deglaze them with Scotchbrite.
Checking stack height is just a matter of measuring all the steels and fibers for a combined thickness with a slide caliper or outside mic. Kawasaki offers steels in .091(13089-0019), .102 (13089-0018) which is the oem standard, and .114 (13089-0020) thickness to help you set your stack height. Kawasaki recommends that you not use both the .091 and the .114 in the same stack. Use either one with the .102 but not at the same time. It is critical to keep your stack measurement consistent with the lockup because you will lose static spring pressure as the fibers wear.

I remember spending over 1 hr on the phone with this dood I never met before, on my $ too.
Then when I had questions about his AMS 1000 set up or the size resistor for the fule level sending unit, he totally ignored me....
I guess some people think its OK to use everyone, then leave them in the dust when they are asked for help...
