no wonder its denting. i bought my mtc single stage used and the guy had it set up with so much weight it dented some of the steel buttons.(he had it set up for lsr with a lot of spray) i havent dented any of the others yet, but its probly enough force to dent aluminum!

Is the Hays still streetable? Just reading about it, it is seems like it would be. I know that traditional sliders aren't capable of street use.

you can convert it in a few minutes, and i think you can pull the clutch lever in to unlock the clutch even in slider mode, so it would be more streetable than a regular slider in that regard, except you would want the stall speed really low for the street. IMO, if you want a slider get it, and then run it as a multi or single stage on the street

If you grind the ribs off you would have to raise the stack height probably .080 to work right. The washers I use on the arms would make contact with the snowflake if the ribs were gone using a 2.140 stack.
I was considering grinding the ribs flush with the plate, drilling and tapping some 4mm holes, and installing ground and polished hex head bolts as buttons. The threads will have to be short to not make contact with the inner hub.
