Blown motor usine scotts oil filters
Has anyone ever had a motor blown using a scotts oil filter. If so please respond even if u have heard of this happening to anyone else. The scotts Billet oil filter.

Is it a zx14?
Did it seize? or turn a bearing?
Never has issue with them, just asking.

The only thing that would cause that would be the anti drainback valve being defective in the filter. That valve will prevent oil from going through the filter if its defective. If thats what actualy happened you should have heard a LOUD knock as soon as you started the bike. I had a Fram do that on my 600 but I caught it right at start up.
