63.5 inches. in my first time trail I knew I was on a good run so I shut the gas completely and hit the brakes and went 9.26 1/8th mile was 5.92. wish I just would have stayed in it means I blew the run any way. rest of the weekend I had to shift at 8800 to stay in the 9.50's

Yeah, i had a great time also, except for some traction problems i had.
But I got to meet Bently and a few other guys from the boards, weather was perfect.
Still have some things to straighten out before the next race.

Stu64 what tire are you running and what's your pressure your using? That track was flat hooking for me. I could have thrown anything at it i wanted to. one pass was a 1.474 60ft

Shinko Ultra soft 190/17 14psi,checked it twice during qualifying, but did not after first 2 rounds. Sunday same thing.
I did a good burnout both times to make sure there was no
moisture on it too.
Thinking i should take a little more spring tension off the shock.

When Itried a shinko I had to run 8 to 10 psi to get it to hook and it still sucked I know a lot of guys have good luck with that tire but i won't ever use one again. I have the super corsa race tire with 167 passes on it and it has not spun once with 19 psi in it. my buddy is using the new power one with the same results. In the final I had a .070 light to his .119

What sell the 14 ?? Hell no bently !!! Put a slider in it and add bars and a slick and you will have a self starting , water cooled drag bike ...Hell with starter boxes and pushing the bike back to the pits ..That's just to much work ...

Well actually I would love to go ADRL racing! but really having second thoughts as the 14 is flawless right now. Smoking have you tried to put valve springs in a 14 without removing the motor I'm guessing it's next to impossible. I would love to spray a 30 shot to get me to 8.90s for the 8.90 class.

Yes it can be done , Just tilt the engine forward by removing all the front motor bolts and remove the upper rear bolt ... Use a floor jack and lower the motor ( tilt it forward ) .. But it much faster and easier just to remove the engine seeing that the only thing left is one engine bolt ..
Bently i think with a slider , wheely bars and slick it will run 8.90s without spray ...Spray would be cool to have just as a backup ... You would only need like a 30 shot and no way do you need springs for a 30 shot ..

Smoking the 8.90 class has to be street tire no bars, oem clutch just heavy springs. So you think I'm safe using a 30 shot without touching the motor? what kit would you go with a spray bar type is what I was thinking?
