I wish Kawa would make the 14 with a single skin for the front, as has the Haya. Much smoother look-n-feel then the 14.

Good to hear from you Full!
I don't know why you ver left Kawi for the Busa anyway.
How about a long term comparison from your perspective?

-handling
-braking
-2 up
-ergonomics
-refinement

that pleases to me that you remembered Emma and me

to be fast and honest

handling : better on busa, more sharp for sport-ride i think

braking : no doubt ! shame on the busa !!!!!!!!! i must change to radial pump, break line and new caliper (1000 k9)
the 14 much better with no modification

ergonomics : better on the 14, more confortable

engine : no doubt, better on the busa..... but i don't know if the zx-14 08' is on the level of the hayabusa 08'
the engine torque is really better
it begins again has mode without problem very low
the 14 had much more problem (even by removing the butterflies, which I had done)

for fun a picture of my 2006 zx-14 (zzr 1400 in Europe)

and a picture with my busa

i hope for 2010, ninja zx-15 with big big torque power, and nasty look !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried an 08 Busa but went back to the 14. My 14 with the flies out has more bottom end than my Busa. Also on the interstate anything past 4 grand and the Busa vibrated way more. I happy to be back on the 14 and thats where I'll stay. I also thought I'd get used to the looks of the Busa.Never did. I also did 400 miles this past Friday. I could'nt make it past 150 on the Busa without cramping.

I keep hearing rumours from various sources about a supercharger, slightly more weight, different frame, same size motor, and different body work. The first I heard of it I laughed it off. But I've heard the same thing from several different sources....too similar to just brush off now I think? Like somebody else said, where there's enough smoke, there's usually some type of fire lol

We talked about this a while back- wish you had a chance to ride
the US spec gen1 zx14 with the flies out and properly modded.

I spent a couple of days on a bone stock 08 Busa last fall in Miami FL
and it didn't stand a chance against my 14 with the few bolt ons.
Maybe it was the hot and humid air and the Busa was slightly down on
power due to that or simply the fact that the modded 14 is much lighter.

And on the 2010 supercharged debates- come on...

fullzx12r-Man that 06 looks sweet as sh*t compared to the Busa! The 14 is different and like no other(IMHO) and there's not many out there to dull the looks and water down the "wow" effect! Just my 2cents... good luck anyway you decide in the future...

+1 Yeah, as long as the two bikes stay the same, there's no reason to feel like you have to buy yet another bike. I think that alone is a pretty good reason to own a hyperbike over a literbike. I love that the G1 busa stayed the same for 9 years and I hope the G2 does as well.

It's going to take a couple years for the world economy to get back on the upswing. I wouldn't expect any change in the 14 for some time. I don't know about the rest of the world, but in the USA you see 100 literbikes on the road for every hyperbike. It doesn't seem like the market is there for constant upgrades to the hyperbikes like there is for the literbike crowd. I'd hang on to that busa and if Kawi did up the aunty and make a 15, I'd still wait a year or two to hear all the facts and see what Suz does to their busa.

Nice to hear from you, full. Busa's looking sharp.

Kawasaki is using the same engine in there Jet Ski (ultra 260)… and with a super charger it is (I believe) pushing out 250 - 260hp.

Now that the technology is “proven” I wonder if / when they will bring it over to the ZX14… Unless there is an issue with cooling (obviously easier on a jet ski), I can’t see why they can’t do it.

Cooling and epa are the issues IMO.
Plus how often do you see potential for lawsuits from a jetski highsiding, lowsiding or doing a 3- o- clock! LOL

From what I've read some of the added weight for the supercharged 14 was for traction control of some kind. Plus it was supposedly putting out less hp than the jetski engine, probably for legal and emmissions reasons. Its getting close to show time for the 2010 models isn't it?

Did you try Michelin Pilot tires on your 14? I rode my friends 08 Busa and I felt

my 2007 14 turned better, but I have new Michelin Pilot and his were the stock tires.

maybe that was the difference. You Busa looks good and you do have it cranked over.

Kawi dealers are dumping the 09's in this area. Rumors are strong about the new 14 for 10. Economy is the most likely cause, but ask a Kawi dealer about to year 10 and they go instant dumb.

Bike sales for any brand are way down around here also ... Two dealerships here have closed do to the lack of buyers .. Also there is NO dealer show this year , so if any new zx14 or 15 shows up in 2010 we may not know about it till they show up at the dealers ..
