Hong Kong Faring kit is finished on the 14, final thoughts.
Well it's been a long hot process since I drug home this pile of parts... one wrecked 07 SE 14

I wanted a project but the Econmy sucked and we have been getting no overtime at all, plus I was going to be off for a month while the plant does the 2010 model year changeover. so I found a 14 that a guy had hit a dog on and tried to take it apart and fix. He did'nt so I loaded it up in the back of my truck and brought it home. I did not want to spend over $4500 dollars so thanks to all of you guys on here that I bought parts from plus Ebay. Now on the faring kit.... I saw some from the company I got mine from on an 06 GSXR1000, They looked good, Not perfect but good. So for $654 dollars shipped to the house I bought the set of plastics from Hong Kong. It came with the ram air covers and a set of grills. No seat cover though or a tank. I had a friend paint my tank and another friend with a 06 black sold me his seat and cover for $50 bucks. my seat had a tear in it. The farings are not thin and they are ABS injection molded plastic. Some of the holes had to be enlarged. some of the attachment points now took self tapping screws instead of the inserts. If you are not very good with your hands then you might want to have someone else put them on. Paint is good, fit is decent. I am more than pleased with it and the red flames are hand painted on in candy with metal flake. it looks a lot better in person. I did add a thin headgasket and carpenter valve springs because I am going to spray it. Vortech 16/44 with a EK 530 zzz chain. Flies out and a K&N filter. I will take it to test and tune next week after work so we will see what it will do there. Here are a few finished pics, sorry for the camera phone pics, it does not show the colrs well. Total invested now is just under $4300 and I still have to get a back tire and a dual hub switch.

Very nice.. I 2nd the vote for more pics.
Now that the body is all on, how do you vote for the:
overall fit?
paint quality?
any particual issues you'd do as a final post-up?
and again where you got it?

I'll get some better pics up. I got the farings off of Ebay. Auctmart1 was the company name. Paint looks really good, we will see how durable it is with some time. Flames are hand painted on in a candy red with metal flake. I want say it was just bolt on, It took some fitting. The gaps around the tail light are larger than factory but are OK. out of a 10 I would rate overall fit a 8, paint 8. the backs of the upper were not painted well and needs to be sprayed before installing. you can see this up by the shield.
