Muzzy Fan

Does replacing the stock fan with the metal muzzy fan really make any difference in keeping the bike cooler?

I put it on my bike and It does move more volume of air, but I put the cycle logic coolant at the same time. So I'm not sure what was the contributing factor to 1 less bar on the temp.

I added a stock second fan which works well and its as quiet as the single stocker BUT I had great results switching to the ZX10 front fender! It dropped my heat down a notch on the gauge and I don't hear my fan(s) kick on but at a stop or slow moving. Try that first, then the coolant upgrade, then mess with the fan(s)

I dropped the heat down a bar by changing oil to Motul 300V. Expensive but helped with the cooling and made clutchless shifts effortless.

No,
I have riden 06' with it and it heats up just as quick as my 09 with the stock fan. I am sure a few on here will disagree but don't wast your money.

Amsoil has the best cooling and more of oils in API standards testing. Log on to lubedealer.com/tjsynthetics and get a free white paper showing the results. In 2000 when I first used it in my Harley I was skeptical an did my own test around town in traffic with a temp gun and found it to run 15 degs. cooler that the Harley syn, Along with smoother clutchless shifting. Hope this helps your cooling issues. I'm sure any synthetic motorcycle oil would help the ZX14 a little. That is good advice on cost savings.

Dont waste your money. I put it on it rubbed had to bend it . Noise went away then came back rubbing again. I took it off and threw it in the garage. Best result I had is a 1 bar decrease with Engine Ice Coolant.
