they've had a shaft drive for several incarnations, no?

The VFR's are chain drive.

what bike am I thinking of? scratching my head trying to remember...

V4 Honda Sabre made in the 1980's was drive shaft Sport Tourer. It had a fairing option
that looked like a last model Honda CBX fairing that was popular in the UK.

I knew the Interceptor 500 was chain, don't remember seeing a 500 Sabre or Magna.
I remember the Sabre and Magna as a V45 or V65 shaft only. Too long ago as I had a 1983 CB1100F I got new back then and I really did not like the V4 engine. Not many Hop Up parts
and having all the gears and no cam chain plus a shaft and no cheap way to regear.

You're right. The V30 Magna had chain. And, there never was a V30 Sabre.

This must be some hybrid photoshop pic. If you look at the frontal pic on previous page, you will see a portion of the headlight to by masked by black adhesive film.
At least we can get a good idea what will it look like. Something is finally coming up for 2010 model year.

Hi All,

You all don't know how hard it was reading all the information while on vacation and not having a way to respond.

First thing's first, Steve appears to be correct on his pick, here is a French Website that has pretty good picks.

http://www.moto-station.com/

It does feel right, as a pretty loyal VFR fan I can say Honda is pretty regular with a 4 year change over.
1983 VF750 +3
1986 VFR 750 +4 full fairing
1990 VFR 750 +4 w/SSS
1994 VFR 750 +4
1998 VFR 800 +4 w/FI
2002 VFR 800 +4 w/VTEC >7000rpm not so much Yea
2006 VFR 800 +4 w/6400 rpm VTEC engaugement actually made this better than one might think
2010 VFR1200 +4 Dammit I can't read French, but I'll bet someone here can.

Keep me up to date.
Rob

I think it's gorgeous. If it gets the 200BHP they're hinting at, it will be a hell of a ride.
