question about flies

hi
i noticed because the zx14 throttle bodies are short , there is not enough space for both set of butterfies to open 90 degrees. the primary butterflies do open 90 degrees but the secondaries do not open fully as they would hit the primaries.
question is are they restrictive at full throttle, and is there any gain in airflow by their removal at the top end

top end gains have been marginal, fly removal mostly benefits low to midrange power

Yes, I would think if both would tag each other, then the subthrottle would have to be at an angle not at full WOT. Like, WOT happens if you lift on the main an close it quick? TAG! EDIT: Let me take that back. WOT if both are at wot, but the plates move in opposite directions so they can ratchet open to one an other and close in the opposite and never hit. Data is what I am going wit... Unless I can shoot a camera lens in the ram and watch them move at WOT to see what happens. I have the equipment to do it. It's just getting off my ass to do it.

I would think watt is happening is the sub never ratchets to 90° is restricting the flow = Slightly.
But if removed, there is less time for air to run over something that is in the way of the flow. So, take a piece of paper, blow at one end, watch the other end start flapping like a flag.

Fly bye wire, we have that [paper] crease removed from the air stream? All that air is going to enter sooner is nothing restricting the air now but the main throttle, basically. So, would you agree if the flypaper deal is a restrictor, would the shaft act the same?

You will lose your dash if you start messing with the telemetry. It will code with the sub-shaft removed. You will run a sort of limp but safe running as the, 'backup' kicks in and acts like a sensor, but say, digitally redundant.

1. Remove flies only = No codes, slight air lag if throttled in a sportier fashion. One mod brings on other things to clean up. So, you could improve the lag induced, or leave it alone and live with it on the sport mode once the right wrist kicks in. You can add an option like a fuel cutter that can match the lean lag with a shot of proportion to bring the lag in compliance with that 'sport of a throttle' you now experience.

2. Remove Sub-System-Assembly = Means, gut the throttle body as you read, datta's progress. You can take the parts removed, datta the actuator box and sensor so it acts like it is on the bike again. You now have your dash back, the lag adjusted [if not, no harm, no foul], with your new air flow change.... It's all good to go >>> FASTER.

You do install your key fob to do just that, correct? Oh, I was mentioning about watt datta does on occasion.
