clutch lever

well i just dropped my bike from side stand on a slope. clutch lever is broken and there is hairline crack next to left mirror. bunch of scratches all over the left side.
1) is it possible for me to replace my own clutch lever or should i take it to dealer
2) the hairline crack - will it spread if i start riding the bike and what is a cheap and easy fix for that.

thank you

lever is easy to replace.
1 bolt at the hinge

The plastic... I hear JB weld works great... never tried it myself though.
It will split open from vibration if you do not fix it.
I see some dril a 1/8 hole at the end of the crack to prevent growth

"1) is it possible for me to replace my own clutch lever or should i take it to dealer"

Did you really just ask that question?

Let's see.. um.. no! I looked at mine and it's very complicated. Better take it to the dealer. In fact... your going to need a tow over there since you got no clutch lever. Better not mess with it. Some jobs are best left to the pros. With the 1 screw holding that on you might forget where all the parts go.. fuck it up and then where would you be?

Tell ya what.. because I am so damn nice I'll take the bust hunk of shit off your hands for say $1000. I'll even come get it from you.. no mess, no fuss!

Dubious is correct. Drill a small hole right at the end of any crack to stop it spreading. If you are going to use plastic weld the hole can be filled at that time. It was the standard treatment for cracked plexiglass screens.

Not from someone with 5 useless posts it didn't...anything constructive to add to your post? The guy asked a question and Id bet he feels bad enough that he just fucked up his bike, and then YOU come up with some dumbass nasty /stupid retort - not nice, nor welcome - I'm betting.

Well i made multiple holes and on the back side of fairing filled it with epoxy (from home depot). everything held up good except one hole which i did not fill - ended up forming new hairline crack spreading in different direction. so i am going to put some epoxy in it and drill another hole at the end of new crack.
