MR11
I recently went to the Jason Miller School - great experieince - the best..... and a chance to do a serious number of runs. My first 4 on pump gas - then drained tank and put in brand new MR11 - special order 1 week old. I saw no material improvement in MPH at the top end - less than 1 MPH and realistically approaching equal. Tried differant maps also. I have concluded this fuel is not worth the money or the hassle. Has anyone had differant experience. I did get very good results with old MR9 last year doing same setup change at the track - looked like 2 to 3MPH. I am curious as to others experieince with these two fuels.

Kevin it might work good with a the higher compression of a Gixxer but with the zx14 only having 12.1 you may not get anything .. That's why MR9 works so good in a zx14 ( 87 Octane ) ... Maybe a zx14 with a thin head gasket you might see some gains with MR11 ..If you had some drop in 13.5.1s it would surely help.. MR11 has too much octane for a stock zx14 engine ..

MR9 is still available. I picked up a few MPH with it. I have never used MR11.

Mr9 is getting hard to come by here on the West Coast. The rep told me Mr11 is replacing it. I don't know why. I love Mr9 and hope it stays around.

I picked up 4 mph and around .2 in the 1/4. I used Brock's Maxton map.

Smkoin - I actually am higher compression - had the heads milled,+ cam and headwork - and I was running a custom map - all set-up bt Quantum. It ran slightly faster on the pump gas (leaner) Map.....

No - just fat...... how are you doing Shane - been to MAxton lately? How is the bike running - and did that shock work out for you?

I did make a trip to Maxton. First pass was 190, but I had some self-made gremlins for the rest of the weekend. The shock was perfectly stable, but the ride was somewhat harsh. It had the bike hopping over the bumps; I think with some adjustment it will be ok.
