Not if you ride your bike around on the streets. The tobin seat is sooo much nicer to sit on then the stock seat.

whats your hard-on for tobin seats? i don't get it, he makes a nice seat. i'm happy with mine. it's a hell of a lot nicer riding on than my fiberglass drag seat. holds me tight, and i sit lower...

I personally don't care for the look of the Tobin. And it's not as good for racing as a Catalyst, for several reasons.
But if you like the looks, I'm sure it is 100x more comforable than a piece of fiberglass!!

i know my fiberglass is a 1/4 of the weight of the stocker, and i sit even lower. but try riding on it 65 miles to the drag strip. the bumpy expressway isnt fun with no padding.

Nice. Couple of questions. 1) How much is your bike lowered. 2) Who did your seat and how much lower is it then the stock seat?

My bike is lowered 1 1/4 inches on the front. Then I strap it the rest of the way. The rear is in the 3rd hole on the aftermarket links. Don't know how much it lowered it. I will measure my seat and let you know that tonight.

Warlord,
Measuring from the top of the bottom is 2 3/4 inches lower. The guy that did my seat raised the back part up a little bit so it will be less on the stock seat maybe 2 inches lower only.
