Hit the 8's.......Yeah

What a great day. Finally hit 8's. I ran MR9 with Brocks track map and WOW look at the MPH. I know this 09 makes the HP compared to the 06-07 models. Bike should be capable of much more. STOCK MOTOR>>>>>> Missed you today Smokin.

Very very good ...... That bike would go 8.60s with a 1.40 60 footer .. Sorry i didn't make it but had honey do list today ...Drier took a shit and had to fix it before wife went to work ..

From my testing so far with my 09 it seems the 08 09 just maybe faster than the 06 07 bikes ..

Here is a ticket from BMP on the 06 zx14 ...This one is pretty close to yours ... I can remember but i think that was on MR9 also , it could have been the old U4 that worked very well also..

I know with more seat time I will get into the low 1.40s. I had 2 1.40 60 ft passes but wheelied and ran 9.0s. Well now 8.60s will be my new goal. Thanks Smokin

With no other change than running normal 87 octane, what would the difference in time be?

Hey smokin and 14nobody,

Do you guys roll on full throttle when you leave the line from what you staged at and ride the clutch out? Or do you roll on a little from what you staged at and then get to full throttle once the clutch is fully out?

I have a habit of rolling on full throttle and ride clutch out when leaving line, but when I had my 14 I would just wheelie. was running 16/43

My bike picked up 2 Mph in the 8th and 4 in the 1/4 running MR9. As far as the throttle yes I pin it @100% off the line. I use the clutch to adjust the throtlle as needed.

That is a nice gain with just fuel. That is like 10 more hp by numbers.

I have run 8.80s on MR9 , U4 and 87 pump gas all at 153 to 154 ...Hell if i know why ? I have run 123 to as high as 127 in the 1/8 mile on pump gas , strange is it not ? That is why i stopped buying MR9 about 2 years ago... My 8.70s passes where on MR9 and i have never done that on pump gas ..My best 1/8 mile numbers ( 5.60 ) was also on MR9 but i have run many low 5.60s ( 5.62 a few times )on pump gas .. That is why i can't see paying all that money for MR9 ...

You guys are "riding" the wheels off of those things. I hope to see similar times at a local 1/4 track thats opening here in SC. I already know I can't match that mph !

Keep it as cool as possible. Any heat will make the oxygenated properties disappear pretty quick. Once you open the can good luck from there. IT SMELLS and my wife is ready to kick me out because my whole house smells like it.
