Aftermarket Shift Lights?
Has anyone installed an aftermarket shift light on their 14? How hard is it to do? Which model did you use?
I've seen one from Boost By Smith, but I'm interested in any other options out there.

I use the MSD Part# 89631 from schnitz Easy to install. VERY BRIGHT
I mounted mine to the top of the gauges

I have the MSD, last nite it didnt work. I think its because i got it wet when i washed the bike before going to the track. Hook up was simple, once you figure out which wire to pickup the signal. heres a pic

I used coil #4 , and schnitz tach adapter pigtail... no need tom splice into harness....

coil #4 signal wire I beleive it was the white with red tracer. The msd comes with a pickup that you just loop the wire. then tighten a clamp over the signal wire.

sorry I goofed It wouldnt pick up the signal on #4 thats why the second thread is stating #1

I ordered the MSD today, and coil pigtail. So hopefully I'll be able to try it out later this week. When I do, I'll update my thread with the details.

a local guy had the msd on his 10R. he said it wasnt very bright, so it will be interesting to see your opinion
