2008 Engine in 2007 Bike?

What is involved with this swap? Will the 2008 hook up to the existing wiring harness? Or can you use the 2007 harness, throttle bodies, and injector setup?

If anyone knows the full details, I'm all ears.

Thanks!

Shane

you should be able to put the 08 motor in and leave all 07 electroics and injectors in tack. the motors are pretty well the same. the only difference on the throttle bodies are the injectors.

The 08 injectors are better too !
Better spray pattern, and bigger!
I was told the old ones were 33 lbs, and the new ones are 40 lbs... thats good news for guys with nitrous or big motors and don't want to increase fuel pressure.

Not sure on price, they will bolt straight in , but will need a remap.

there is one more difference not that it makes and difference power wise but the 08's have a delrin sleeve in the engine to make the came chain quieter.
