Sorry to hear about the bike, glad your ok. So did you cross into his lane to turn off? Or did he come into your lane. If you crossed into his lane without knowing where he was that's a huge no no. always spot the guy in the lane before crossing over to turn off.

quote: And people say bolt ons aren't "strong enough". I don't think they are bent, maybe a little stressed, but I will def take them off and have a look. The other side of the swingarm buckled where the right side broke. I'm like a lot of yall, this bike was my baby. Bought it new in 06 and built it to where it is now and it took 3 years... One dumbass and its almost worse than starting over...
My philosphy is like this:
When it breaks, it's a chance to rebuild it better.
That really helps me make it through those miserable times....
To put it in perspective...I've probably replaced nearly everything that broke on your bike...and I only have 1500 miles on mine!

We were in the center, knocked my bike into center of my lane, and his to the right of his lane. He got the redlight off the tree, bc he took too long, after I crossed the finish line and slowed down enough ti pick my head up, I started looking for him, and as I stated I looked 5 or 6 times and he wasn't there. Yes bently, I kinda feel like this could have been prevented from me, but I'm almost positive that I wasn't in his lane. I can't remember enough to say. I have dragraced for 9 years, and yea, I know you don't cross into the other persons lane. I do know If you get a redlight you don't run 100mph at the end of a racetrack! If I had enough time to be bascially stopped, he had more than enough time to slow down

+1
LOL
Smokin that was funny as hell, sometimes you really make me laugh...LOL
Eclipse, your right you are very lucky...imagine if he hit your leg... wow.
I realised your swingarm got broke, I was inferring the weak little subframe on the busa transmitted that much impact through the Massive Cast side sparrs on the busa.
I would be VERY suprised if the frame is not tweaked... that was a major impact... The stress from that could be distributed through the arm and anwhere between the arm mount and the headstay...
I hate to be adding piss to the shit storm... and really do hope the frame is good for you

I've thought ab it, and I don't know if there is $4000 worth of good parts if the frame is bent. The guys that were there are leaning more on the side that it isn't, but what do they know, their suzuki guys

O yea, the frameslider on the right worked!!! Didn't bend it, but ill be dammed when it flipped it tore the front clip off and broke the tabs on the right fairing... So it still broke the right fairing.

***update*** just talked to the racetrack and he's still in surgery bc it broke his neck. Found out that he never let off the gas after he crossed the finish line and was out of control is how he hit me. I wish that on no one.

Eklipse636'' I have two fenders,an upper and a rear seat panel you can have if you need it. They aren't cherry but not bad,no cracks or broken pieces real nice but two different colors. LMK if you want them,i will send then asap, Also i just thought of this,i have an arm and an undertail as well your welcome to have. Im glad your ok thats the only thing really. Atleast your here to decide what to do about the bike'' know what i mean................If you decide not to keep it i will give good money for the motor and forks, stuff like that, you will be surprised how fast it will add up. I think you could get enough to get out from under it, however if that frame is straight i would put her back'' good as new. I will help out......................Bill

Only thing wrong with the forks is the adjustments on the top of them are scratched really bad. Can they be replaced?

If I had parts left i would donate too, but am cleaned out.
When you have a good chance to look at the frame:
Ceck around the arm mount obviously, as well as the upper engine mount above it, and the frt engine mounts up at the head.
If anything looks tweaked, or a bolt is real stobborn and the frame springs when undoing any of these fasteners you will know it is tweaked, if not you may be ok...
Good places to start inspection anyway...
Feel for your bike, but real happy for your health bro...

After the unbelievable help from youguys is I still need a guage cluster. I'm pretty sure that it is the whole thing busted, but the screen still works if there's any way to replace the glass over the display and guages. Is the best place a junkyard?? Can't look at ebay on phone...
