ZX14 06/07 VS 08/09 clutch basket
COPIED AND PASTED from another board.
I did NOT confirm that it to be true, but might be good info to be aware of for some if it is true.
"The 08/09 basket "WILL NOT" fit into a 06/07 motor, the gear pitch is different on the 08/09. I found that out tonight when I was trying to install the 08 basket that I bought off of eBay. The only way to make a 08/09 basket fit into your 06/07 would be to change the crank along with the basket.
So that means that the cranks are different also... So buyer beware when buying either a crank or clutch baskets for a ZX14, make sure that you get the right year to match your bike...
An easy way to tell them apart is the 06/07 gear is split, the 08/09 gear is solid. From what I can see on the parts list everything else is the same including the oil pump gear."

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Either I pitched to be quiet or I pitched and found a little HP... This bike is becoming refined like a toof comb is fine: Trivia between years is little bits&piece is found the hard way is, "Hey, check year mail!' 'Year the top bid deer me is the headlights were on and Kawi kept the goods a secret is part numb beer they did not is study the parts book before bid ding-ding-ding!"
And did Kawi remove the parts pages program off their website for you to stop the shark attack? Ebay my parts page it is then? I don't know how lucky that bid was, but it sure does wake-up call the bidding wars for parts is parts I guess.
Thanks, Lucky14, for the up-sell.

He may not have a manual and know to insert a pin into the basket to aline the gears, I've seen several not do that. and think the basket was bad.
