Gen II busa owners, why did you come back (or not)

just noticed a couple of you had 14's, switched to 08 busas, then came back to the 14.

just wondering why (or why not, if you stuck with the busa)

That being said, in an ideal world I'd have enough money to have all the bikes at once so it's not really a case of one being any better than the other - both have their pluses and minuses so it kind evens out.

And after riding a turbo busa and getting that tingling feeling it was like getting my first piece of ass IM IN LOVE!!!!!!!!!

It's been some time since we have seen a Busa at our tracks ... Last week we had 6 zx14s and no Busas and about 3 or 4 Gixxers ...I can't remember the last time we saw a 99 to 07 Busa show up ..Seems the zx14s have taken over around here ..

working under the hood is easier on the zooki, and aftermarket support / parts are cheaper and more plentiful.

That said I like the ergo's and refinement on the 14.
Kawi parts are alot cheaper than Suzi parts too.
I can buy all 4 injectors for less than the price of 2 Busa injectors... for example.
Fenders are about $50 cheaper for the zx10 than the GSXR1000 as well.

the fact that you can pull the cylinders is nice, but taking the fairings off of an 08 busa is just ridiculous. i've worked on a couple and they pretty much made me want to go jump off of the coronado bay bridge.

dunno if the fairing removal is really any easier than the 14... both are shitty IMHO, especially compared to say, the 1098. Frame design of the busa makes it easier for me to get my giant north american hands in there to work on stuff... rear end of busa is hideaous while front end of 14 leaves much to be desired.

handling on 14 is more sporting than busa, but busa is slightly more comfortable. busa gets better mileage when kicking the shit out of it and also spills next to no heat onto rider unlike 14. 14 has better brakes.

both are too heavy and are packed with bullshit chrome bits and plastic crap that is there for no reason at all. makes me shake my head.

someone should combine the strong points of the two bikes and make one "perfect" bike.

i just hope kawasaki keeps the 14 some what untouched for many more years to come. it will only help our aftermarket.

but i'm doing my part to get some products out, hopefully soon too.
