Problem CO2 Refill
I have a co2 shifter. I just bought a new nitrous bottle with a vavle on top with a dash 4 female threaded connector. I have gone to a number of places to try to get it filled including welding supply and local sporting stores that refill paintball equipment. None seem to have an adapter to get it to work. Does anyone know how to get these things filled with CO2. Are there some commonly used adapters? Neither Schnitz nor MPS were able to help me out on this one....
Thanks,
Kevin

Smokin - Does N2O work as well as CO2 - a bit more expensive? Do you do N2O even if you are not running Nos as power adder?
Thanks,

dont know why MPS couldnt help
you can use the pin valve adapter (1-0340) and the valve pictured in 1-0329 and 1-0377. also, your local hydraulic/hose store (check phone book) could probably make you an adapter with -4female to a paintball thread pin valve.

If you buy a 10lb. nitrous bottle, used, and get it filled you can freeze the 1 lb and fill it from the 10lb. I have been doing this for a year now. Nobody here fills 1lb bottles.

I like the nitros idea and I will look into it. I did get it filled tonight - Here is the trick - If you have them remove the pin vavle adapter there is a fitting on the hose that will screw into the bottle after you remove the bottle fitting - so you need to take a cresent wrench to the store - had it done at a local Dunhams Sports - $4.00. Now if I start filling the bottle with Nos - the next thing will be putting a dry set-up on it....
Thanks for the help and advice.
