Just throwing another option out there...
I didn't like the bar mount, found it obtrusive:

Bell RX65 removed the cups for windsheild mount and bolted it to the windscreen with button head allens. The RX65 has a mechanical lock, so it clips into the mount, easy and secure, I used the marker lamp wire next to the headlight for power when ignition is on.

This set up saved my license, and worked great.

Dont know about the US< But up here in Ontario now, Laser is the enemy. And with new legislation, if you get caught going over 50km/h over limit, your vehicle and licence are gone for 7 days. So with the tow/storage and licence re-instatement fee you are at $1000 +/- before you even get to court.
So for now I have to be real careful and stay at 149 kms when on open highway...

Does anyone know if the laser jammers really work?

+1 on Jammers going from Fort Worth, Texas to Oklahoma to Meina Arkansas

and back. About 1300 miles. The 2008 C14 seat is a Lot softer than our cool looking Ninja seat. Waiting on my Zero Gravity Sport Tour shield... looks well un-cool but it works for this :-)

What type you running. I find that detectors (for laser) only tell you that you are about to get a ticket (if the copper knows what he's doing and waits till you are in range before painting you).

Simon,
It appears they are not using laser much yet here in Alberta,
Only the stationary, out of the car revenue stops.
The roving patrol cars are all radar, and as long as there is traffic in frt of you, you will read a signal before getting pegged.
I rarely ride 50 over the limit any longer, but its the cumulative 20km/hr over tickets that kill the license.
When I test the performance I always pre run a section of road with no intersctions or approaches, and no other vehicles around....

Hey bud, long time no hear. Radar is still used for patrol units, but most of the OPP stuff on the 400 series highways is ALL laser.
In Toronto, none of the young kids ever take the Radar out, they prefer laser as you can select which vehicle you want, better range, no clutter. Most Traffic cars have the moving "Track" radar hard wired in the cars, but all the guys prefer the Laser as they can bang off allot more tickets in a shorter time.
Since the new 50 over laws here, the OPP dont even pull out of their spots for less than 35-40 over... They prefer to wait for the over 50s. Hence why I want to investigate Laser Jamming... Detectors (of all kinds) are illegal here, and if I hammer on the brakes when I get painted, kinda gives away I have a detector.

Hey Lyle

Us too on the check the road first. We found a spot with no inlets and a 2 mile straight that goes down hill a little and you can see the top off the other side. We ride the road legal and look of rocks etc and come back around and do a 60 in 2nd gear and shift 4 times :-) big fun and safe 6 lanes with a guard rail in center and lage wide shoulder for exra room.
Lot of Long Straight hiway in Texas :-) just ned to pick a good place,
Louis
