BT021's
Got a steal on a set of BT021's and I'm about to put them on? Anyone have any experience with these on ZX-14?

From what I have read on other forums, their is more bad news than good. Cupping and wearing faster

I've got about 2k on an 021 front right now, and it doesn't even look scrubbed in. I would never run a sport tour on the back, because I drag race... but on the front I like it thus far. Be careful if you ride on grooved concrete like we have here in socal. Under hard acceleration the bt 021 follows the grooves more than my shinko did. When I first put it on I was pissed because I got it to duplicate a speed wobble at 115mph 3 times in a row. Tried it on regulr asphault and it didn't do it lol.

Just got through with a set they seemed good for me. I run the air pressure the manual recommends though. I think with this heavy bike it likes more air pressure because I have never had any unusual wear front or rear. They lasted 5k miles. The thing about them verses 014s is that the front is softer and was shot also whereas the 014 lasted 9k on the front. I will say like all tires they work best when new of course. I just ride on the street like the curves and fast acceleration but don't drag race.

i use the 21's a lot. Change the whole set, dont do 2 rears for every front. The front wears funny all the time. Keep riding aggressive from the get go and the tires are great! Theyre my canyon tires of choice, and give good grip when warm. No pirellis, but you get longer life from them!

I had a set of 021s on in hopes of getting more mileage than the 014s. I ride mostly in the canyons. The 014s would only last about 1800 miles until they were completely used up. The 021s were done in 2700 miles. Not enough of what I was looking for, so I went to the 016s and love them. In the corners, the 021s were fine. It's when I was braking hard did the rear end get loose from the harder compound down the center.
Good luck.

Just replaced 2nd set of 021's with Dunlop Roadsmarts, liked the Bridgestones well enough, but the front always wore out first around 2500 miles. They also cupped but ran higher pressures & slowed that down. I think they stick better than the Dunlops but the mileage so far seems to be better on the Dunlops. Used to run sport tires but they just evaporated on this bike way too fast for my wallet
