-2 front +2 rear, anybody tried it?

I'm -1/+2 on my 14 and was curious if anyone has went -2 on the front after and if so would it be safer to just go up more in the rear than going anymore then -1 down on the front because of it's small turning radius vs the chain?

I'm -1, +4 with +6" wheelbase....and that is a lot of gear, too much for stock wheelbase, Imo. And yes, the tighter radius is less desirable...

-2,+2 = +7 on stock wheelbase....forget it!

LOL....Ok, I was just curious. It sounds dreamy, but would kill my gas bill probably, and like you said I'd need to stretch it for that gearing.

I assume you have a 7 speed tranny too? Thats a lot of gear. You must be planning a lot of 1/8th mile.

I am 300ish 16/44 @64wb I ran my best time Sunday:
1.473
4.034
6.17 @112.25
1/8 mile.
I was thinking of going up 1 or 2 teeth in the rear(I want 5"s)
But up 4 more? It seemed too big, then again, I could leave at maybe 3500rpm instead of 6000. Is this why you going 16/48?

Sorry Ninjanick if I am thread jack'in.

the welded bracket on the swing arm. Gilberjj sold me his Muzzy Gold 3 holes links and I purchased a Brocks Radial Strap Kit. Goodridge SS longer brake line. Next is a ZZZ longer chain and metal cahin guard. Now Wee can give me help with my 60 ft. It's been a long time. :-) It's time get on the school buss.... but it will be Big Fun. Maybe my old reflexes

Well ,it takes all types of rider and combo's...I think Lee went 8's on 16/41 or 16/42....and 1.3 60 fts....

At 16/48 you must launch low, and toss the clutch out...

Lee cheats! 141lbs with gear, a down hill track, below sea level, and a 30mph tail wind.

does anyone think a higher wind screen makes a difference for 6-1 and up guys in the 1/8 or 1/4?
