water wetter
This past week I changed the fluid and went back with 1/3 antifreeze and 2/3 water, with half a bottle of water wetter. Me and my girlfriend and a few other people went for a ride sat, and I was very disappointed in how hot the zx14 ran. On a 72 deg day, just cruising at 60mph, after it warming up it never ran below (or above) 3 bars. Is this normal for u guys? I thought that was high for such a cool day, and not for giving it hell..

Did you get all of the air out of the system?

I usually run them for a little bit without the cap, just to burp any air out...
Someone can probably add to this....

Yup, gotta do it.
My dirt bikes were especially able to trap air.

Ok here is the skinny on water wetter ... Works best with water only ...... Even still water wetter will not make it run much cooler but it will take longer to warm up and will cool down faster than just water alone ... antifreeze/ coolant is an oxymoron ....With antifreeze 50/50 with water will run hotter than just water alone .. Just use distilled water and the water wetter , that will give you the best cooling ....If you live in where it gets cold keep the antifreeze in ..

your experience is normal, i use engine ice(it is all pre-mixed) and like smokin says it takes longer to get warm and cools off faster, but to be honest 3 bars is norm. my bike runs coolest when i am pushing the pace (going fast) and warmest at lower speeds. never has it overheated but it gets warmer and stays warm in stop and go and at lower in town speeds. it runs coolest around 70-90 mph-ish.

3 bars is ok...normal.
5 bars is approx 200f which is not bad. the gauge is deceptive.
Blinks "hot "at ~215.
zx10 fender is a great mod for it too though.
also I run it warm with no cap and squeeze the large coolant lines to help burp it, then top off the rad and check the resevoir, run it hard and high rpms6000+ rpm, 10 seconds at a time for 1 minute total, for a short ride, then check the resevoir again.

Tip: Leave the cap off the radiator, with the engine warmed up and running blip the throttle. You will see the coolant level go down some as you blip it and it will belch the trapped air. Refill to full, Repeat this process until the coolant level doesn't drop and you can't add any more. Replace radiator cap kill engine and fill your overflow tank to the proper level. The overflow tubing between the radiator and the resevoir tank will have some air in it but this minor amount will be eliminated/resolved eventually with some normal riding.

I used a whole bottle of WW in my bike, with the rest 50/50 mix, seems to take longer to warm up but runs about the same temp. And make sure you get the air out, or it will run hot every time.
