My bad, I did not say we did a roll on, just stupid bragging about torque. I digress, and have apologised. Like nobody here makes mistakes. Dave & I have never had a contest of any kind, except maybe spotting hotties.. He did blow by me superfast, spitting carbon in my face. I don't want to turn this into another pissing contest. You guys talked about Max's torque so much, I was bragging. Read the previous page where I proclaimed the ZX14 King of the strip. Apology accepted or not?

Nah, all you have to do is pull clutch briefly, twist wrist & pop it, rpm's don't have to be but at about 4200.

look, i ride with all kinds of folks. i've lived and ridden in this area my whole life. suffice it to say that if something gets said about me or my stuff, word will get around, that's all. i didn't appreciate the tone of the crap you posted on the other forum and god knows where else. that doesn't get you a picture at the post office, but there are some trust issues to say the least. we are all big boys and everyone talks things up from time to time. on this forum bullshitters get spotted a mile away. remember strokerzx14? i do not have anything to gain by spreading untruths and neither do you. cut the crap and we'll get along just fine. taking pictures of people's stuff and writing fiction stories won't get you far around these parts. apology accepted and i'll be seeing you around.

With over 10,000+ members here on bikeland we work real hard to weed out false info or liars like strokerzx14... We don't ban people like some other sites do because they are found out and move on pretty quickly on their own .. Bad_Max Made a mistake , he said he was sorry so lets move on ... I would like to see more Vmax owners here , hell we do have a Vmax Zone and i'd like to see more Vmax owners use it .. I know a few of the zx14 owners also want a Vmax so we need good soild info on mods like we have here for the zx14s ..

Just my 2 cents ...

I'm with Smokin on this Bad Max is new to this site, he didnt know this is a fact based site.............he made a mistake but he manned up and apologized................I say cut him some slack and move on as well, he seems like a cool guy thats into fast toys like the rest of us and if it werent for him letting Smokin test his bike we wouldnt have very many real facts to go on regarding the VMAX.

I look forward to more information on the VMAX particularly how it responds to mods and how it compares to the ZX 14 modified.

it don't compare and can't compare ...max is really limited for moding unless you have deep pockets ... zx14 can be purchased and higlhy moded for what a vmax sells for OTD .. where the vmax can never catch up ..

The bike is fun to ride no matter what style or where you take it. It's not flickable like a sport bike, but is rock solid in turns. You can drag the pegs, and on exits the ass end will kick out spinning the tire, if you gas it early. The shaft drive was very noticeable in the older Max, not so with the new mono shock rear & diamond shaped frame. The small tank is still the same, and that's kinda shitty. Some company in Europe is offering a relacemnt that holds another gallon, but it's expensive & not an easy mod. We used 3 gals of gas at Bradenton. Stop & think about that. How many 1/4 mile passes should 3 gallons cover? I figure we got 2 mpg

Much the same as my 85 Vmax .. You can feel the weight difference Vs the 85 ... The way the bike powers on it much the same also but it is clearly faster as the numbers show .. My best on my stock 85 was at BMP in 85 and ran a 10.98 .. 09 Vmax at the same track 10.14 .. Since i'm a drag racer and not a twisty rider i can not tell you if it handles better that the 85 ... My guess is it does ...

Make no mistake you can feel the weigh of the bike ...When i let off at the end of the track i didn't even have to use the brakes to make the second turn off . It's like it has air brakes.. Were as my zx14 i have to use a lot of brakes to make the last turn off .. 135 MPH is a hole lot different that 148 at the end of the track ...
