Sargeant Seats
I ordered the ZX14 modular seat from Sargeant's yesterday. I decided to go with just the front seat only, if I do ride two up then I will put the OEM back on.
Look like I will lots of space now under my cowl to put stuff where you could not put anything before.
Anyone else order one from Sargeants?

Yes a photo would be nice as the one on the website is not very good at showing how much storage there actually is.

Pictures aren't very good, but gives an idea of the system and the storage pod you can get to go with the single seat. Pretty ingenious actually.

Seat was delivered today. Fits my butt nicely ( I'm not riding the tank at all now), much harder than the OEM, so going over bumps was not as soft as before ( I did get the low seat version).

I like it but the rubber thing on the cowl looks off to me. is it necessary to have it on there?

Yes this is the low version seat.
The rubber transition pad on the cowl is needed as there is a gap between the front seat and the cowl. The transition pad covers that gap.
The other nice thing about it is the cowl is now flush with the tail giving it a much nicer look.
No, it looked like a couch with the OEM seat.

so can you remove the transition pad to access the new found cargo area with out having to remove the seat? If so I really like it. and cheaper than corbin too

Not a very good finish seat looks like a Corbin with their concrete foam. That transition piece is ugly as hell. Tobin can do a much better job, and the foam they use is based on your weight, unlike the standard crap that Corbin rips you off with. I had a Corbin on my Vmax and it sucked!!!! But then Corbin sucks and he's a jackass.

Tell us how you really feel turbomark........LOL!! All joking aside the Tobin seat is a much better seat than Corbin. I had a Corbin on my ZX12 and a Tobin on my ZX14.
The Tobin is a much more comfortable seat. Get a Tobin..you won't be disappointed!!!

Do you have any pics under the cowl? I'm curious as to how much room there is...

The transition pad is taped onto the cowl so it's permanent.
I will take pics of the seat with the cowl off and post. There is a bit of room between the cowl and the pan, but to take of the cowl you need an 5mm allen key and there are four bolts.
Yes it does lower your position but when you have both legs down, due to the curvature of the seat it does not feel lower.
Under the seat there is a very small storage area, enough to hold a pair of sunglasses.
