Muzzy Advancer or TRE

Sorry if this is a repeat, but will the Muzzy Advancer plate do the same thing as the TRE-008?

I acutally like having a gear indicator working on the dash.
TIA

No, two different parts that do two different functions. I have both, call Ivans Performance Monday.
Ivan will explain or go to his web site and look at the dyno charts and read about how and what they are for. The X-TRE( Heal Tech) will cure the off throttle popping at 3500 and still let you have the gear indicator. Depends what year ZX-14 you have and do you still have your secondary fly's in.

08 with all stock.

It seems I can feel the difference in the lower gears vs 5th and 6th. The top gears feel slightly more responsive.
I plan to use muzzy m14 with a oval can and PC in the near future.

I thought the 08 opened the fly's sooner than a 06/07. Hey if you can feel it. When you install a full system you will be glad you have the TRE,,,,,,,,,,,, quiet when you let of the throttle at 3500. The M14 has good mid range and close to most of the louder race Meg systems
on the top end..

Brocks Gen 3 street smart is a good system to. My first choice, but I got this Muzzy used and a custom map for half the price. I like it.

The Muzzy plate, say set to 4 deg adv, will add a few TQ and HP IF you tune for it, nothing significant.

I have used a TRE on an 08', and really did not help either. Flies out same. Muzzy with flies out same as above.

I use it to now retard timing all the time.

My opinion on the TRE's/Muzzy plate for the 08 are not worth much.

I have the Muzzy plates but was advised to not use them on my street bike and don't mess with the hose, don't plug it. I have my advancer at 3 advance for that little gain at low RPM that a 421 exhaust looses for a street bike.. Drag Races are not worried about 2500 RPM in 6th gear :-)

I have no idea how a 08 does with a the TRE you have. 08 opened the fly's faster, etc.
My TRE was for fly's Out 07, it's purpose is.... Stops the pop at 3500. Shows N on gear indicator.

JDC................ Thanks for chiming in.

Lab3, ............I don't think that Heal Tech lists a X-TRE for the zx14, only the 6 and 10.
Are people using the one from the 10?
