sleeping at the tree.
Bob
LOL...Yea it was a bracket race. I was racing my buddy on his V-Rod Destroyer. He dialed like a 9.80 I believe. I came around him at the top end. But then he bought back in, and I had to race him AGAIN!! Then I red-lit -.002. DOH!!!!

That Michelin 180-55 Power Race got some bite!!! Still to this day some people don't believe me about this tire.
If you look good on ebay, there's some killer deals on these tires. I just picked up a set of 2 BRAND NEW rear tires, Michelin Power Race Soft 180-55, for $220 to my door. That's $110 a piece, can't beat that with a stick.

Well its the same run, just with a pause between the burnout and the run, so it had to be put on 2 videos.
Hey I didn't record it. In fact, I didn't know the videos existed before today. The person that took them sent it to me via email today. I'll put a note on the original post to warn people that the first video is only a burnout. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. ____________

Actually Pat, I think it is great that you put the burnout video up. I see a lot of people struggle with the burnout in the beginning.
Some of you may wonder why he leans the bike side to side during the burnout. Basically, it heats the tire evenly across. When you launch the tire flattens out, so the part you heat out on the sides is actually gripping the track surface.
I bet a lot of guy just do it because it looks cool...without knowing the reasoning behind it.

More burnout action for everyone :
That is me and Crotchrocket (on his 12R), when I started to make some clean passes on my 14. I'm hoping with some changes and lighter weight to be a little closer to where you are, Pat. Maybe an 8.99 on motor. My best is a 9.30.
You can see I was really easing it out of there, 1.53....and about 750 lbs. bike/rider.

Yea! It usually only lifts when I run MR9, and I would just pop it into second and let it coast on down. But on this day, I was running 87 pump gas, so it caught me off guard, wasn't expecting it to do that.

It looks to come up right when you try to pull your leg/foot all the way up. Since you are airshifting, why not waiting until after the 1-2 to raise your leg? That helped me a lot.
I watched my video and saw that every time I came up to make the shift, the bike started to lift the front wheel.
