I wasn't going to comment about insurance as I know things can differ around the world. I do know that here in the UK you would not be covered for sprints or track days. It usually mentions no cover for "racing or pacemaking" in the policy which gives them a get-out if they can show you were racing on the highway too.

I would read your policy Big Blue. I have never had an insurance policy that covered a motorcycle in any competition. Competition being the key word. Most will not, or try not to pay on anything involving a race track. If your policy does not specifically say no to these things, let me know. I will be switching companies.

I called today. My agent had to call the parent company and the answer was NO even though I made it clear it ws not a competion but merely a closed road course. I hate it when I receive conflicting information from people who are suppose to know things. There isn't even a special rider policy for anything not on the street (edit: from my insurance agent). Insurance is such a scam.

Has anyone known a person that took a lost like wrecking and the insurance did not cover your loses? It would seem that most companies would pay out anyway, there would be quite a few irrate customers and even more that would not want to risk the loses.

no insurance company covers ANYTHING at the track. plus you sign your life away on the entrance forms holding no one responsible. there is no "competition insurance".
