I think you need a better clutch hand the higher gearing you go. Lower gearing helped me. I throw my clutch. But i could see at stock wheelbase where control is better than wheelies. plus a lighter rider does not need as much tq to get rolling.

if they are gearing higher the bike must have the torque to pull it! that's the opposite direction most were going, at least for the 1/4 or 1/8.

1 tooth down extends the wheelbase and makes it easier to control wheelies (for those with a spectacular clutch hand). Remember, we are talking stock wheelbase machines here.
I believe that 1Bad said that "short gearing hurts mph". Well, even IF it does hurt mph, who cares? Drag racing is about ET, not mph.

We are thinking about doing a new CBR1000RR for SuperSport....it made the other 1000's look bad on our dyno in same day/same configuration exhaust testing we conducted recently. I was surprised.

Brock how much more HP/TQ are the SuperSport prepped ZX14s putting out compared to your Diary Bike? And how much does your bike weigh compared to Rickeys?
It would be good to see a Honda out there. Thats an untapped market right there.

The 1000rr is light, and makes pretty decent power... but the thing is a turd. If anyone is going to make one go fast it's going to have to be you because the thing needs help. Although... it might prove to be easier to ride since it isn't quite as violent as a zx10 or gsxr1000. Have you had a chance to mess with the new big bang r1 yet?

Thank you Brock and everyone else for your positive comments about my efforts with the turbo zx14 stuff. I have put a lot of hard work and dedication into testing and development of the zx14 turbo products and thing are moving in a good direction. Me and Richard Gadson had a great season last year with that platform and me and John Fernandez are off to a good start for 2009. Rickey Gadson truely aquires some of the best riding skills and composure among drag racers. To beat Rickey is a feat of honor to say the least. Once again, Thank You all.
