new from Queensland Australia

Hi my name is Doug I have a black 07/14 so far my mods are = flies out ,pc3usb ,full yoshi trc ,dynojet quickshifter ,bmc street ,16t front ,straps ,adj lowering links ,fan override switch ,liquid performance coolant ,mirror block offs ,fender eliminator. I have read right through this forum and have learnt alot from guys like smokin and dubious. Mackay is on the coast 1000kms above Brisbane. It is humid and our track rarely gets sprayed. And yes one guy hit a kangaroo on the 1/4 mille. Ihave aquestion on the Dynatune nitrous systems, do you recomend them ,the price seems great. Will a 20 ounce bottle fit on their brackets (it measures 11 1/2 " by 3 1/4" ) Also where are you having best success placing the nozzles? I believe a 40hp shot is safe on a stock motor and clutch? I have never had a nitrous set up before , is the Dynotune window switch set at7000 /11400rpm a good idea ? Should I also use a Dynotune lean air/fuel cut off switch to protect my motor, or would I be wasting my pocket money the wife gives me !!! Looking forward to pressing the button for the first time. Thanks for your advice. Doug.

Hey Doug!
Welcome!
Thanks for the kind words.
I used the 20oz bottles on my bike, and ran dual bottles. They fit just fine.
I used the bottles that hang off the footpegs, the brackets are actually part of the valve bolted on the bottle

I used their bottles, and a muzzy system, but Lee used the entire system and had great results with the nozzles installed in the ram air tubes.
Set the window switch to 7000, and 10,400
You might be able to go lower on the bottom of the window, but it might cause the bike to detonate. I say 10,400, as the tach is optomistsic, and reads 600 rpm higher than actual near redline, and the idea is to drop the NOS at a safe rpm below redline rev limiter.
If you go more than 50 HP you should pull timing.
The lean air fuel is not sensitive enough to really see 1 injector dying, and personally I would not bother. an AFR logger would be good if you do not have a dyno, so you can tune your map. Start rich.
I started by adding 21% fuel (50HP shot) in all cells within the window switch settings at 80% and 100% TPS then worked my way down from there.

Lee has far more drag racing experience with the system and may have info to add as well.

Hope this helps,

Lyle

LOL

My 50 shot on a 4 inch stretch was spinning the tire at 220 KM.hr in 5th... I had to lower the tire pressure to 30 psi so it would hook,
Oh, and BTW the first time you hit the button your hair will blow straight back...LOL
Just like mad max movie when he turns the blower on!
