You can blip the throttle upshifting or down, makes no difference than really heavy springs.

But if you need to pull the clutch in at high speed/rpm it can be done just much more difficult,
and you will probably bend something with heavy weight on the arms,
it just adds loads of pressure at high rpm, let rpms drop and no problem.

When it is engaged the lock-up spins with crank speed, once dis-engaged spins at tranny speed.

Hope I explained it right

Bob,
I know on my VRod - with an MTC multistage clutch with as much weight as possible = I can still pull in the clutch at the end of the track - I do not really notice any problem with the lever - although it has felt as though it was dragging at times when I have done it at the end of the track.

Yea you can pull it in, but you will feel that it will be hard to do so and you could damage something. As far as stopping at the end of the quarter mile, the arms will release once the engine RPM's drop below the locking point of the lockup, at which you can then pull in the lever and downshift as needed.

I'm curious guys....I'll be installing a Cycle-Logic lock up with my turbo kit. I'm not a drag racer, strictly a street rider, so my bike won't be seeing any super agressive launches, mainly roll on acceleration. I'm not a clutchless shifter, I like to use the clutch on all my shifts....even if its just a quick jab on high rpm shifts. Will the lock prevent me from using the clutch at all under high rpm's? If thats the case I might skip installing it, and either run the clutch stock if it'll handle 270 horses, or just shim it. I'm not a clutch abuser...the clutch just needs to be able to handle the power under roll-on conditions mainly

I wouldn't try it .. I do ride mine on the street but if i get into a roll on race i use the air shifter ...I have pulled mine in at the top of the track after i killed the throttle and it feels fine ..But at full throttle at 10600 you might have a problem ...I would use Brocks springs and spacers if i were you ..

+1 Smokin'. I spun mine in neutral to 10,000 rpm and pulled on the lever to see. It is pretty stiff. You could probably bust the slave cylinder if you force it too many times.

No, there is no difference with Cycle Logic at high speed/RPM as compared to the OEM clutch. It is invisible to you in feel/application. Read that from shifts at 160+, up or down.

That is exactly what I was told by a very experienced engine tuner. It's going to be track only if I fit one.

I would not hesitate to use this lockup on a streetbike, speaking from experience. It is perfectly manageable. You can pull the lever in safely at 8000 rpm. There is no reason to pull the clutch in at that speed other than to clutch shift. At that rpm you should be blip shifting anyway which does not hurt the tranny at all. I've taken the weights off the arms yesterday and the pull at the lever is a little bit stiffer than stock at 10g. So clutch shifting at redline would not even be an issue with no arm weight.
