I wouldn't... can't set delay and kill independantly... you need the hub to activate a relay,
in the end I think you'll find its just as well to use an mps box.
Same $$ as a hub, and better suited for what you want to do.

also, if you mount the switching valve ON the air ram, you dont need a delay. one of those inch long 1/8 pipe fittings doesnt really need delay( thats how i set up mine and dads)

good info!

I just ordered a big ram, with 3/8 lines and the bigger solenoid to boot...
had intended to mount it right on the cylinder too... quicker shifts ; )

Biggest reason people are going away from air-kill is lack of kill time adjustability

I am thinking of going with this setup and ditching my kill box. Halvefast, did you also use the hub to trigger an auto-shift?

no hub needed.
I don't use any relays either. (i don't thing voltage is any more than the horn).
1. run a fused hot wire to the switching valve,
2. find the horn wire that goes to ground when you push the button,
3. put a switching that wire or just use that wire
4. run the wire from #3 to open the switching valve and ground the
PC pin to activate the kill.
5. load software in PC.
6. test and drink cold beer.

Why not?

I don't see where the problem is. The hub is either capable of triggering a relay reliably or not.

Nobody can get these relay outputs to work? 06redzx14 is apparently using the setup for auto shift and nitrous operation.
