Tiger Tail Question
I have a question for those who have installed the Tiger Tail - At stock wheelbase does it increase tire clearance - effectively permitting the bike to be lowered more without the tire rubbing - note I have a cut down oil pan. Second does it decrease space under the seat - where all of my added electronics like an LM1 are currently installed.
Thanks,
Kevin

you will gain approx 1" of clearance back there above the tire at stock wheelbase, and you will lose 1" under the seat.

Since I installed my tigertail I think all my electonics fit better. The pan is flat instead of having all the bumps and stuff in it. I will post a pic later with my seat off. I am happy with it.

Hey not to hyjack the thread but did any of you guys notice the gap around the tail light growing with the tiger tail or did I screw somthing up? BTW really nice job on the placement of everything that looks really nice. I think I will re-do mine just because you made me feel like I half assed it after seeing yours racers.

Lol, make sure that the rear tab is on top. You need to put the rear of it on first and then mount up the front. If not then the rear will hang low. If you go on schnitzracing.com there are the install instructions that you can download.

Thanks for the info, after looking at your bike more I noticed you also were able to get the little plastic push pin down by the lock to go in, not even close on mine. I am going to adress this right away, this was the only problem I had with the tiger tail.

looks hideous in my opinion. Goes astray from the color and shape of the bike.. Its like putting a chin fairing on a dirtbike!

It's not really a part designed for aesthetics. But you could paint or powdercoat it. I am doing a few things to mine...
