I strap the bikes in from the tail forward. That way the straps are pulling tension which keeps the front wheel securely in the chock no matter what.

I put very little tension on the straps. As secure as the front wheel is, a lot of pressure is not needed. In fact, I usually just put soft ties on the swingarm spools or rear peg hangers (depending on if the bike is so equipped).

A few clicks on the ratchet strap and the bike is secured.

I have 6 of the cheapy Harbor freight ones. If you are bolting them in your trailer they work fine. I have them mounted on both of my trailers, and they work great. Thy are on sale right now for 29.99. I also have one of the more expensive ones from them and right now I have a Valkyrie on it for an engine change. It also works fine. Anyone that trailers with a chock alone without tying down will be in for an expensive suprise sooner or later. One of my trailers is a tandem and I haul 4 bikes at a time on it, the other is a 2 bike setup. I have thousands of miles hauling both sport and heavy cruisers without any problems. You can spend hundreds of dollars more, but why when these chocks are very effective and easy to use.

Something no one has pointed out about the Condor is that you can flip the rear of the wheel holder to adjust the tension and angle on the front tire, plus you can move it front to back. The best feature I like about the condor is pulling the pin and it stores pretty flat so it's easy to packup when you aren't using it. It's also aluminum and light weight.

Plus I had outstanding customer service where I misplaced one of the bolts to hold the front up and they sent it out within a week to my door! I will be buying another because it is so nice to ride into the garage into the stand and just get off the bike.
