Spin-Off of smokehouse4444 post about Brock's service

I did not want to hijack his thread but I have a question regarding this subject. My guy at Spider Racing says he can get me Brock's products for a lot cheaper than me going directly through the Brock website. He gets a huge discount because of his shop and can get me a PCIII for $300 flat with maps and the Brock's Carbon Fiber Shorty Gen 3 for $975. I trust him and his service so I know I won’t get inferior merchandise but rather after reading Smokehouse4444’s post I was wondering if there is any benefit to spending a little more and purchase directly through them. I am about saving money but I just wanted some input.

Yea I'm sure there is several places you can find Brocks exhaust cheaper, but not something I would be throwing out there for the world to know. When I owned my shop I was suprised to see what alot of this stuff cost and the mark-up that goes with it. There wasn't a huge mark-up on parts...helmets,gloves,jackets ect.ect...yea. He's prob quoting you close to his cost.
I went straight thru Brock when I got my exhaust and pc. They gave me a good deal on my pc for buying both at the same time. You might want to buy that exhaust fast...after this your friend might not be a Brock dealer much longer. I'm not saying that in a bad or mean way at all. I had parts unlimited for a supplier and they were very strict on what you sold their parts for. That way you didnt under cut everybody else. It's one thing to give a friend a hook-up it's another to give it to everybody who walks in the door.

It is posted on ebay, but I got their number to their store and ordered it over the phone. I always feel a little more comfortable ordering it by talking to someone over ebay. Posted their number on my topic new goodies

I try to do business with people I know/local guys, but just by shopping around I saved HUNDREDS on a pc and stretching... Sorry to the locals but that's quite a bit of money in my pocket!

I am so glad I am part of this forum because I always get good information here. My guy only offered me this price because I spend so much money at his shop and because he and I are cool. I know of a couple other people in his shop that he did not offer the same price to so perhaps he is offering it to me at cost.

Still... do I buy the PCIII from a cheaper place and the exhaust from my guy, or do I get an additional benefit from ordering the Brock's? I know that Brock's maps are awesome, and so is his customer service, but I can you those maps anywhere, right?

Brock's Performance will usually give you a deal for buying exhaust and PC as a package. Call them for updated information. I know got a package price when I bought my 2 years ago, just not sure if they're still carrying that policy as FlatoutBu said above.

Brock will give you all the maps you need for street/race/flies in-out combinations.

Can you get maps from Brock if you don't get the exhaust from them? I want a Brock's exhaust but I also want to save money, but I don't want someone giving me their version of a good map. I want a true to life, quality Brock's map.

why a custom map is the ONLY way too go
plus that price for a pc3 is way too high

I agree about the price and I don't plan to spend that. I was shook out of my reverie and I was given a few websites already by fellow members where I can get the PCIII for a reasonable price. I wanted to get custom maps from Brock because that is what everyone in this forum raves about, and I want nothing but the best for my girl, ya know? There was a string in this forum where I read someone got a map off EBay, or something similar, and it just tanked, and I don't want that to happen to me.

call Jamie at Moto Fuel and see what he will charge you for a PCIII USB with a Map for what mod's you are going with. Brocks maps are close but a custom tune on a Dyno for air/fuel where you are located is Best, But no the least expensive. Brocks sends a map with the exhaust system.

so far all MOTOFUEL does is download them from the powercommander website.
8 for 8 on the ones that have bought from them and then came to the shop for a real tune

I was not saying Jamies maps were Better than a Dyno tune. My point was their price for a PCIII USB.was not bad. How about Ivans maps? Redone any of his work?? I purchased my ZX-14 with all the mod.s on it. I live in Fort Worth, Texas where are you located? How much for a Dyno Tune?

Guys,

If you have a Brock's Performance exhaust system, our map and technical support program is FREE for as long as you own your exhaust.

Please go to my site Brock’s Performance

Click on the Browse the FAQ link and type in the following search questions:

How can Brock's get mapping so close?
source other than Brock’s

They explain everything you need to know.
