New clutch, whats with the purple tang?

I just got new fibers and steels from schnitz and every fiber has one purple tang. Do these need to be oriented a certain way for the clutch to work properly?

thanks

And no Im not talking about purple poontang. Thats another topic.

I've always just stuck them in without looking at the purple, and never had an issue.

You won't be able to see those marks anymore the next time you inspect the clutch anyway...
