No you do not. You could cheap out, buy an '09 ECU. This will set your flies to open faster like exactly like an '08/'09 but way less expensive. Put your subthrottles back in, you would not know the difference between each. Just a faster fly opening.

This is the first time I have heard about some way to get the 06-08 fly’s to open faster… would there be some advantage to this rather than simply removing them all together?

Are you BS-ing us Hub, or should I be in the DTD holding cell for not knowing this mod?

No BS. Has the wire harness changed as in a supplemental shop manual page? Nope, not an update yet. So says my plug-in my '06 throttle body.

Therefore, know your shop manual is know how to read the FSM. Once you know the basic fundamentals...... Say goodbye is meet you at the track is gonna whoop ya; me in the cheater bracket.

I'd first swap the box then rip a cable a few hundred feet or less. Then if no change, enter the trigger box with that being a different part number? No matter. Use both as a set is bet me.

Have the voltage values changed from the sensors? You open the book, it shows the same values from day one till '09. Yes, there are Euro ECU's and 48 State ECU'z is all work in that wire harness. No BS-ing is walk that manual is walk DFI is generic from one Honda to the next Suzuki is if it is not? Then show me I am BS-ing is Pull my ECU and here ya go is give me your '06 is lettuce us rip some cable.

If you can wait a month at the most, I'll post a review of G2 flies out. I have my flies out of my '08 and I'm just waiting for the streets to dry up a little before I do test runs. No other mods, so I should be able to discern the effect it has on the bike pretty well.

What I've heard from pissear and a couple others is not to expect much change out of a flyless G2 except for deminished throttle control. You might pick up a few hp on the extreme low end if you get a tune for flies out but it won't cure the jumpy throttle, they say. I like to do hard cornering so if flies out isn't for me, it might still be a fun mod for the strictly straight-line riders.

It might get up to 50 F here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this weekend but there's still a lot of salt out there and I still have most plastic off. I might get a chance to take a little spin if I can get the sides and tail on for legal signal equipment.
