nut size on front sprocket

i have to borrow a sprocket to get the front sprocket nut off, anyone know what size it is?

It's 27mm. Get a hexagonal socket for better purchase on the flats of the nut (not a 12 pointed socket) and use an air-gun. Good luck, they're on very tight.

They sure are on tight. Couldnt get mine off with a 3 foot breaker bar. However, a cheap impact driver from Harbor Freight took it right off.

Better borrow a impact socket !!! You can get a nice 6 pt. set AND the impact from Harbor freight.

I understand that an impact gun works but I've heard it can be bad for your transmission. Any truth to that?

I put the bike in neutral and got someone to stand on the rear brake so the chain took all the strain, not the gearbox. Obviously - knock the locking washer flat first.
