refugees, post here...
alright... people are posting about the various differences between the sites. We keep this version running because (as you can see) it's pretty much spam-bot proof.
If there are specific features that you want, please post them here and we'll see what we can do.
Also there was talk of topic specific forums... please post what topic specific forums you guys want/need or miss .... (ones that are actually used - we already have a ton of sub sections on this site)....

I post at both sites maybe this site is more drag race oriented. Seems most replies are when someone has a drag race or top speed issue especially if you can prove that your times are impressive. A lot of people ( at the other site) want to talk general conversation about the bike but that is more ridiculed here or ignored.

This perception is true. Not much touring talk or general stuff like tires oils etc. here. Obviously Bikeland breaks things down by makes, a few models and covers motorcycling in general. That site dealt with a specific brand and model only. And with that narrow focus could go to more specific categories.
Hence its demise.
I think many newbies are a little shy to ask simple questions here ie; chain adjustment, wax, break in etc.
That might just change now.
I,m pissed cuz I was going to buy a used spiegler triple tree there. Here my touring and commuting side is rarely talked about.
But the 200mph and track day rider in me does gets slight coverage.
I dont drag the bike so there isnt much for me here. Other than I enjoy following some of your members knowledge even though I'll never don a shinko, extended arm or care about my 60 ft. time.

How about ZX-14 Maintanence and How-Too and ZX-14 Upgrades/Mods. Off Topic postings was really getting a lot of use over the last month too at zx14ninja.com. Everything else could go in a General ZX-14 forum.
^^^Just a thought. One forum is probabley just fine if you bookmark. If we could just have all the people here from zx14ninja.com, I wouldn't have a problem with a single forum........but oh well, whatcha gonna do?

there's a lot more to running the sites and keeping them online FYI, and it's a compromise a lot of people dont think about.. browser compatibility... mobile computing compatibility.. spambots, loading speed... basically keeping the place online 24/7 ...
keep the suggestions comping - we can probably entertain some of them and strike a decent compromise...
