One would prob be better off with Kawi site instead of 14only site....from a biz standpoint.
correct - the site remains a marketing tool for them - i've said this before...
as i mentioned everyone is welcome here and we're in it for the long haul
Any chance we'd hear from Hub over here again? I thought he was banned here for trying to sell stuff or something like that.

Here there is more than 14 stuff ......... very interesting and helpful.
So much for our big Super Bowl halftime log-in.
Irony of all irony - SS Sunday will be a day with the fewest members on ninja.com.

I agree completely they are generated simply on available metrics and do not include any of a handle full of other criteria that can greatly effect the worth of a site, one of the most important being sponsors.
Case in point Google is worth considerably more than 1.2 Billion.
But it is interesting and I thought germane to the bent this thread seamed to be taking.

Cntrlhubzx-14. He gets on a few people's nerves with his whacked out language. I rather enjoy the sound of it and I often take the time to figure his posts out. He has some of the best wrenching tricks - little stuff anyone can do but many people don't know about.
Be great if he'd show up with one of his crazy posts.

I don't think he imposes his sense of morality on anybody - except for when it comes to Hardly riders. LOL These past few months he's posted some topics regarding the economy. Not a whole lot of bike info anymore. My guess is that he is doing what he has to do to keep his personal economy healthy.

I hope so, juice. I think you can get a lot of the same info here but nija.com was a lot easier to read with its page format and the PMs were often very helpful. The topic specific forums (well, okay, they wern't always totally specific) made finding information pretty easy, too.
I had almost 1000 posts over there. I could sit down and type a question, go eat a sandwich, and come back to get an answer. It was almost like calling your buddy on the phone. I could count on Hub to reply before I even logged out. BadinBlack also offered a lot of help to everyone. It will be a big loss if that guy doesn't turn up sooner or later. We have a few of the frequent posters here. I suppose they're all watching the superbowl today.

Well honestly I tried to become a member for that forum since Dec and never got an activation link(pitiful) though had the chance to search and find answer to my questions.

I've heard that at least three times in the past week. The newest members seemed to be making the same observation. I don't know why people seeking new membership weree having to wait so long. I know I had a little trouble at first, too. I had to register a second time from my wife's email acct. I would recomend you keep trying, but there doesn't seem to be much reason to hurry at the moment.

The other site had:
ZX-14 General
ZX-14 Maintenance
ZX-14 How-To
ZX-14 For Sale/Trade
Off-Topic Postings
ZX-14 Pictures
ZX-14 Drag Times
ZX-14 Sightings---There almost never were any LOL
ZX-14 Group Rides
ZX-14 Group Buys
ZX-14C
ZZR-14 Euro
I think that was all of them. People often posted things in General even though it would fit better in a more specific forum. That's because everyone read General and the other forums got fewer hits. In a way, that was nice because if you posted something in a specific forum, your topic would stay near the top for a long time. The whole arrangement seemed to make everything easier for me to find after the topic had died out. I suppose if you know how to use bookmarks it would be just fine to have one forum for everything.

That site was a weak attempt at a copy of this site, which has much more to offer than the other site. Oh, the other cool thing is that while the other site was busy going up and down and on and off, Bikeland never went off the air...not once. Most of the good info there was cloned from here. Hey ZXBOB! You should consider moderating here!

If the old site doesn't come back up, I'll stick around here. I have no doubt that the info here is every bit as good. I hate to sound like a wuss but I will really miss a lot of the frequent posters at ninja.com. I spent a great deal of time there every day over the last 11 months. A couple members I actually met and hung out/rode with. I received excellent advice and support regarding my f***ing devorce which is about to go into effect. I consider a lot of the members from the other site to be friends.
