2008 injectors to 2006 bike

hi
the general concenus is that the injertors fitted to the 2008 model are better, so i have ordered a set for my 2006 tuned bike to compare and see if i can spot any difference and then fit them and set up again on dyno .

2008/2009 injectors are $44.95 at www.babbittsonline.com, I got mine early 2008 and never installed them because a friend installed his and they were way richer, you need to have the bike retuned for sure, I haven't gotten around to finishing the project.

Interesting...the 08-09's seem to lose a few ponies from richer mapping. The 08-09 injectors are supposed to be improved for better performance....but yet they run richer and worse on the 06-07 just like they seem to do on the 08-09's. I'm wondering if they were really designed for a performance improvement at all? Or if they're actually part of the new emmissions requirements, and kawi just chose to advertise them as "performance improving"? Things that make you go hmmmm..............
Maybe the 08-09 guys would see an improvement putting 06-07 injectors on their bikes?

MJ quote: "Maybe the 08-09 guys would see an improvement putting 06-07 injectors on their bikes?" Nope. Been there, done that. '08 is the way to go. '06 injector is going to jet same fuel trim as the '08 ECU map. Seat of the pants wise, nice smooth improvement to be had. It just feels slightly cleaner is all. I'd say the angle has more to do with the smoothing than the spray. Then again, both the different spray pattern and angle helped a tad. Not much, but I would not swap back to the '06 throttle body.

Does the spray improve? Say my home made 4-into-1 loads up as in it sure gurgles richer sounding in the pipe than the '06 t-body did. Interesting you mention richer/ better gas mileage, KZScott.
