Looks good. I am going to be cutting off the mudflap on my tigertail, also. The directions for the tail can be found online, fyi.

You are going to be running a 2-step box?

Have you used one of those boxes in the past? I wonder what the consensus is as far as ET improvement?

I have used one.
Very consistant rpm hold.
I don't think it will change your et much if you have your 60ft already dialed in, but it will be more consistant.
You will need to shim the clutch switch actuator, to get it to work while you stage with the clutch draging enough to preload the chain.

Thanks for the heads up dubious. I can understand your point though so your not slammin the chain at launch good point. Is it possible to adjust it so the clutch is working properely on normal street shifting and starting out?

Im hopin for 8s todd but im sure it will take sometime. Im so used to dragging the clutch with the stock set up, its going to be some getting used to. With the MSD Launch controller im hopeing i can just set it at a low rpm and dump the clutch and see where it goes from there, Then every pass just pump it up 100rpm increments till i just start carring the front wheel out of the whole.

Well worked a little more on the bike this weekend...Fabricated some brackets for the dynotune nitrous twin bottle system, checked the fitment, still will need a little cleaning up but they will work. I dont want to use the passenger footpegs like the kit describes using i
want to keep a clean look.

I replaced the stock fan with a muzzy fan. you can see the old fan blade. the new blade is very close to the radiator but there is enough clearance.

I got the MSD launch controller hooked up and the MSD shift light heres a video clip at a 5000 rpm hold. once you reach your desired rpm you cant give it too much more throttle or it starts loading with fuel and the end result is the backfiring.

Nice!
I like your slim bottle brackets.
I found I had to shim the clutch lever at the switch so it would hold the rpm, and take the slack out of the chain together..

Good looking ZX-14. Do you still like the 6 Roaring Toys EXt.? And did you notice more air thru the radiator with the Muzzy fan? Or just more noise as I have read about?

I have yet to ride it! I got it all back together then decided to modify the oil pan so now the exhaust is off and the pan is at the welding shop. Plus its so cold here yet, hopefully in a couple of weeks. Plus i just got a enclosed trailer im trying to get set up by the end of march with chocks and d rings so it seems like its never ending!

Just so you know some classes do not allow 2 steps, i'm running in the superstock (9:50) class in Two Wheel speed series and no 2 steps allowed.

Actually its only a single rpm hold theres no second stage to it. Besides our track up here is just brackets they have a bike class and pretty much anything goes.

Yup, the stock clutch switch is really just a safety feature to make sure you can't start the engine in gear, with the side stand down, it won't effect your street riding

I read somewhere that the 2-step was cutting the rpm limiter by 1000rpm. I took mine off and went faster. I also was more consistant without it( i know that sounds wierd). But with it i would make a clean pass, then next 1 id wheelie, didnt make sense. I know 1 thing i did like about it was everytime i raced some1 it would screw them up.
