Undecided on Brock exhaust
I'm getting ready to order a Full Brocks system but cannot fully decide on which type to go with. At this point I'm trying to decide between the Shortmeg and Alienhead. Can anyone give me some input and let me know if either has an advantage over the other? I also heard that we (Bikeland Members) receive an additional discount. How does this work?

I like the looks of the alien head, plus I don't think it will be as prone to scraping if you hit the twisties

You can pull the baffle out of the meg but not the Alienhead. AH looks better to me.

Hey, just what is the easiest way to remove the baffle in a street megaphone without scratching everything up? I am embarrassed to say that I have been unsuccessful twice.
It may be that some WD-40 needs to be shot in there, or a slide hammer is needed. Maybe my Brock's is just more gunked up than usual.

AZ ZX14,
The AlienHead and ShortMeg are the same exhaust with different shapes. The ShortMeg has a removable baffle the AlienHead does not. The HP and TQ results are basically the same. Brock has second to none customer service as others have said. My personal experience is you can't go wrong with Brock. How may people like Brock do you know that answer their own e-mails? You can't go wrong with Brock's products or his advice and service. I have the ShortMeg on my ZX14 and love it!!
Pick what you like but if it's Brock's you won't go wrong.
I'm a Brock's customer for Life!!

I like the short megaphone system because you can remove the baffle for track days but
it would be nice if he made the new shaped sidewinder megaphone in stainless too, this way i could afford to buy one...LOL.

I have removed mine more than once and i also pulled Jesses out for the Pinks race ...All i have ever had to do was grab the chrome looking ring with a set of vise grips and give it a tug ...Never left a mark that i can see ...If it's stuck give the vise grips a tap with a hammer ..

Thank you Smoking....I have already tried that, but have not wiggled it around much. A bigger hammer may be the answer.

LOL, nothing like a little BFH compound to get the job done . For those of you who are not familiar with that term it stands for "BIG fucking hammer"

its called persuasion. back to the topic i like the street megaphone, my next choice would be the short megaphone, like they said above you have the option to pull the baffle that would be unavailable in the alien head. unless you are lowered you will not scrape any of these.

Stu64 I felt the same way when i saw the price of that New TI Sidewinder pipe ...So i had a chat with Brock about the pipe and the price of the pipe ...Brock wanted to build the fastest pipe ever made , He made it super light weight ... Then spent hours of dyno time to make more Peak HP than any pipe on the market ...He met both the goals he set for the new pipe with an added bonus of more turning clearance than other sidewinders, making it more user friendly on the street ..
Remember returning buyers of Brocks products and Bikeland members get a discount and don't forget FREE Mapping from one of the best tuners around ..You will be buying one of the best high end pipes made.... If you add all that up the pipe is great deal ..
Now if i can just get my wife to loan me some money ...

smokin' i'm more interested in the clearance than the weight savings. Maybe if the shape outperforms the orginal he will change them all.

Removing the baffle shouldn't be a perk unless you like more noise. Brock himself said that removing the baffle doesn't make any more hp.

Thanks Bawls. I have emailed Brock for the specifics. This is a tuff decision because I have already invested in the Full Muzzy and want to make this my last exhaust purchase.
I also want to thank everyone else for their feedback. I like the idea of being able to remove the baffle on the shortmeg but think the clearance of the alien head will persuade me.

for me it was easy. I like the lines of the alien head better. the short meg just doesn't flow right. and after buying my alien head i was less bumbed about it not having a removal baffle. it is so freaking loud when your on tap that the baffle for me any way isn't an issue. I have no regrets. however my nabors do.

Hey AZ,
What part of Arizona are you located?
I'm in the Phoenix area, far west valley.
Maybe we can hook up one of these days for a breakfaast ride or maybe meet at SpeedWorld.
