Kawasaki could exit MotoGP?

WTF?

THE global financial crisis may lead to the end of yet another motor sport team, with speculation that Kawasaki are preparing to pull out of MotoGP.
Kawasaki are thought to be planning an exit from the top motorcycling class within a week, after six seasons on the tour.

The news represents a major blow for MotoGP race winner Marco Melandri, who has just joined fellow rider John Hopkins at Kawasaki for the 2009 MotoGP season after a one-year stint with Ducati.

Melandri was initially perplexed by the reports.
